The VR6 Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) is a high-capacity generator voltage regulation module designed to provide stable and controlled excitation for compatible alternators and synchronous generators. It supports both Shunt Excited and PMG Excited generator configurations, offering flexibility across different excitation systems.
The VR6 accepts a 180–280 VAC shunt excitation input at 50/60 Hz for 1-phase or 3-phase applications, while the PMG excitation configuration supports 63–105 VAC at 100/240 Hz, 3-phase input.
With an excitation output rated at 65 VDC @ 12 ADC, the regulator provides up to approximately 780 W of DC excitation output under the stated rating. The unit also incorporates voltage sensing, CT input and ±3 VDC auxiliary/ACC input provisions for generator control and regulation applications.
