The PLCDirect D4-INT is an 8-channel interrupt input module designed specifically for the DirectLOGIC DL405 PLC series. This specialized utility module is engineered for time-critical industrial automation applications that cannot afford to wait for standard CPU cyclic program scans.
When an external process signal is detected on one of its 8 channels, the module triggers an immediate hardware interrupt, diverting the CPU to execute emergency stop commands, precise synchronization routines, or immediate high-speed counting instructions. With integrated, adjustable input filtering ranges and versatile sinking/sourcing compatibility, the D4-INT maximizes operational safety and processor performance in demanding manufacturing environments.
- High-Speed Event Processing: Delivers rapid 0.67ms per point interrupt rate to execute immediate, high-priority CPU subroutines.
- Prioritized Signal Handling: Automatically prioritizes incoming hardware signals from channel 0 (highest priority) through channel 7 (lowest priority).
- Dual-Purpose Flexibility: Unused interrupt channels can easily be repurposed as standard discrete DC input channels via an onboard DIP switch.
- Configurable Triggering: Supports both rising edge and falling edge signal triggering configurations.
