Designed to slash wiring overhead and bring processing points closer to machinery, this intelligent master module enables the main CPU rack to coordinate hundreds of distant field inputs and outputs asynchronously.
When nested into a CPU slot, the module utilizes an efficient RM-NET network protocol to rapidly transmit remote data directly down the pipeline into the primary logic processor. Built to survive strict industrial environments—including marine and manufacturing systems—it functions as a reliable link for complex processing plants requiring segmented block extensions.
- Reliable Master Control: Acts as a dedicated Remote Master module, designed to sit directly inside the primary DirectLOGIC DL405 CPU base station.
- Multi-Slave Scalability: Supports high-density configurations by daisy-chaining and controlling up to 7 Remote Slave units (D4-RS/D4-RSDC) simultaneously.
- Long-Distance Networking: Minimizes field-wiring constraints with an RS-485 serial communication link supporting runs up to 3,300 feet (1,200 meters) over standard twisted-pair cables.
- Industrial Status Diagnostics: Features front-panel LED indicators for immediate monitoring of power (PWR), diagnostics (DIAG), standard logic I/O, master status (MSTR), operation (RUN), parity (PAR), and communication link (LINK).
